As Project Manager, Brian leads our team of 25 highly trained mechanical research professionals that include registered patent attorneys, patent agents, and individuals with advanced technical degrees. Acting as a liaison between clients and search analysts, he defines the scope and price of searches, directs technologies to the appropriate analysts, and determines customized strategies for client search needs.
Brian has managed thousands of searches for Cardinal assisting a wide range of clientele. Performing hundreds of searches himself, he has extensive knowledge in all aspects of mechanical searching. In addition, prior to joining Cardinal, Brian had several years of law firm experience prosecuting thousands of US and foreign patent applications.
Brian earned his JD from The John Marshall Law School and his BS in mechanical engineering from The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is currently registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, as well as the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago.
