As Project Manager, Justin leads our team of highly trained chemical and biotech research professionals, which includes registered patent attorneys, patent agents, and individuals with advanced technical degrees. Acting as a liaison between clients and search analysts, he defines the scope and price of searches, directs technologies to the appropriate analysts, and determines customized strategies for client search needs.
Justin manages searches for Cardinal, assisting a wide range of clientele and has extensive knowledge in all aspects of chemical and biotech searching. In addition, prior to joining Cardinal, Justin practiced patent law for several years at one of the world’s largest law firms. While there, he managed the discovery team for multi-million dollar litigation, drafted a successful pitch for a new client in the chemical industry, and successfully represented a pro bono client’s petition for asylum. He also holds his own patent.
Justin earned his JD from DePaul University College of Law, earning several awards for his legal writing. He earned both a PhD and an MS in chemical engineering from Stanford University. He recieved his BS in chemical engineering from Washington University. Justin is currently registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the US District Court Northern District of Illinois, and in the state of Illinois.
