As Project Manager, Lisa leads our team of nearly 50 highly trained mechanical research and life science professionals that include registered patent attorneys, patent agents, and individuals with advanced technical degrees. Acting as a liaison between clients and search analysts, she defines the scope and price of searches, directs technologies to the appropriate analysts, and determines customized strategies for client search needs.
With over 10 years of patent-related experience, Lisa specializes in mechanical, medical, materials, electro-mechanical, business method and design patent technologies. She has a diverse background in patent law, providing insight on all related projects.
Her vast industry experience includes work at a large Chicago law firm with a significant patent law practice, where she handled both patent prosecution and patent related opinion work. In addition, she has worked with a Fortune 500’s in-house global patent group, where she handled patent portfolio management, competitor product infringement analyses, competitor patent invalidity analyses, and new product right to market analyses.
Furthermore, Lisa’s experience includes work as a patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined more than 300 applications and developed a proficiency in patent searching by using the USPTO classification system and patent-related search databases.
Lisa earned her JD with a certificate in intellectual property law from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her BS in general engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has been admitted to the Illinois State Bar.
